BrandonB's MMG DIY stands

I made these stands for my MMG's about 2 years ago.  These are made out of pine, but are remarkably stable.  They raise the speakers about 9 inches off the ground, putting them in a position for optimum sound performance for my living room.  The speakers are tiltable up to 15 degrees from upright.  The back braces support the weight of the speakers well and the whole speaker can be lifted off the stands (with the supports attached).  Positioning the speakers toed in towards the listening position is also easily judged by the pyramid style front support.  They also just look cool, and using a heavier wood such as oak, walnut, mahogany, etc. would do wonders for even better stability and aesthetics.
